Update Galaxy Core Prime SM-G360H to Stock Android 4.4.4

Samsung Galaxy Core Prime SM-G360H has recently received Android 4.4.4 Kitkat Update. Follow this step by step guide and learn how to update your device to Android 4.4.4 Kitkat.

This Update is only available for Galaxy Core Prime SM-G360H and isn’t available worldwide, Although you can check the software updates by going to Settings > About device > Software update. Requirements and Prerequisites:

  1. This update is only compatible with Samsung Galaxy Core Prime SM-G360H.
  2. Backup all your important data stored on your device using Android backup apps.
  3. Download Android 4.4.4 Kitkat G360HDDU0AOK3 stock firmware.
  4. Download Odin3 for Windows and jodin3 if you’re using Mac.
  5. Enable USB debugging by going to Settings > Developers Options and enable USB debugging.
  6. Download and install Samsung USB drivers.

Update GALAXY Core Prime SM-G360h using Odin

Step 1: First of all download all the above required files and unzip it on your desktop.

Step 2: Now boot your device into download mode; Press and hold the Volume Down + Home + Power buttons for 5 to 6 seconds. Volume up to confirm.

Step 3: Run Odin3.

Step 4: Connect your device to PC using USB cable.

Step 5: Hit the AP button and select the tar.md5 file that you’ve downloaded.

During this your PC might hang for a while, just have patience and let Odin3 handle everything.

Step 6: Don’t interfere with Odin settings leave it default.

Step 7: Just hit on Start and the flash the Android 4.4.4 stock firmware.

Step 8: Time usually depends on your PC. Odin3 takes 5 to 6 minutes to flash a stock firmware. After the process completes your device will reboot automatically and Odin will show you a PASS! Message confirming that your device has successfully updated to Android 4.4.4 Kitkat.

Note: For the first time your phone might take more time to boot, just wait. You’ll also notice your phone might become slow after the update, all you’ve to do is hard reset your phone by booting into Recovery Mode; Wipe data & Factory reset and delete all caches should make your phone smooth and faster than before.
