Finally the US Cellular variant of the Samsung Galaxy S3 gets Android KitKat update, update has started rolling out from today. Last month Samsung confirmed that it will not be releasing any KitKat update for the Galaxy S3. Luckily the US Cellular customers has got it and who knows other might also get, however there were a few other reasons behind the decision which was later mentioned by the XDA members.
The US Cellular users definitely will be happy to get the official KitKat update after such a long time. Android KitKat OS is currently the most stable version and have so many useful and improved features which optimize your device performance. If you still haven’t received the OTA update notification on your phone then head over to Settings > General > About phone > Software updates and you should get it there.
Note that in order to update your phone via OTA make sure that you’ve got good enough battery charge and good speed of WiFi or 3G network.
