Guidelines and Requirements:
- US Cellular Samsung Galaxy S5 Model Number SM-G900R4
- CF-Root package for US Cellular GS5 (Download Link)
- Install Samsung USB drivers or Samsung Kies on your PC. You can get the USB drivers FROM HERE.

- Charge your phone to at least 50%.
How to Root US Cellular Samsung Galaxy S5 Using CF-Root
Step 1: First download the required files as mentioned in the requirements section above to your PC and unzip the files to a suitable location.
Step 2: Run Odin3 v3.07.exe.
Step 3: Reboot your Galaxy S5 into Download Mode, Hold the Volume Down+Home+Power buttons simultaneously and wait for the warning message to be appeared on your screen. Further hit the Volume Up to continue into download mode.
Step 4: Connect your phone to PC via the USB cable and make sure Odin3 detects your galaxy s5.
Step 5: Click on the ‘PDA’ button and select the tar.md5 rooted kernel file from the unzipped folder.
Step 6: Next, Click the ‘Start’ button to flash the cf-root package on GS5.
Step 7: Wait for a while, Once it completes, Odin3 will notify you via the PASS!! message and your phone will automatically reboots.
Step 8: That’s it! Now once your phone reboots, Check that SuperSU has been installed. Open Google Play Store, search for ‘Root Checker’ App, install it and launch to verify to root access.
Congratulations!! Your US Cellular Samsung Galaxy S5 has successfully got rooted.

I just completed all steps, and I got the “PASS” notification from ODIN, but when I try to verify with root checker it says the root is not installed

Just got a new S5 cellular and frowned when I saw it was running lollipop 5.0…
Have as needed old s4 active that I rooted running 4.4.2 (towel root ) well I set up s5 and it wanted to add everything s4 had so I hit ok. Went to kitchen made a drink and came back to s5 saying busy box not installed. I said OK install .. wow my s5 was rooted .. I didn’t do anything.. amazing..
