How to Root T-Mobile Galaxy S4 on Android 4.4.2 KitKat

T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 (SGH-M919) has finally received the most awaited Android 4.4.2 KitKat OTA update. For those of you who has updated to the latest firmware update, which is Android 4.4.2 KitKat Firmware UVUFNB4, follow this step by step rooting procedure to gain root access and overtake the limitations on your device. How to Root T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 Running Android 4.4.2 KitKat Using CF-Root

Step 1: Download the required packages to your PC and unzip the files to a new folder on your desktop.

Step 2: Connect your phone to PC via the USB Cable and Run Odin3 v3.07.

Step 3: Reboot your device into ‘Download Mode’ in three simple steps:

• Power off
• Holds the Volume Down+Menu+Power buttons for a few seconds till you see a warning message on the screen.
• Hit the Volume Up key to continue.
• Finally make sure that Odin detects your phone.

Step 4: Click on the ‘PDA’ button and select the tar.md5 rooted kernel file from the unzipped folder.
