  1. In step 5 Odin3 did NOT recognize the device. Windows saw that the Samsung was connected, but Odin 3.07 and 3.09 didn’t. Tried several times on two different computers. What went wrong?

In the windows directory which contained odin 3 v3.09.exe there were the following files:
    CF-Auto…..tar.md5
    Odin 3.ini
    Tmax.dll
    Zlib.dll

The .exe file is dated June 21, 2013. The tablet was recently updated to kernel 3.4.39-1977750 dated Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 18:33. The build is KOT49H.T520UEUANF4. It looks to me like the CF-Auto kernel was built after the June 24 kernel on the tablet.

Odin 3.09 doesn’t see the tablet either.

Is there anything you can suggest?

      • Not sure. He gave up on the project and returned the Samsung. In case he gets interested again in rooting the one we still have, which drivers do you mean and where can they be found?

        Thanks!

          • Samsung_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.exe didn’t work, so I tried Kies3Setup.exe which required unavailable internet access. At no time has Odin3 recognized that the Galaxy tablet was connected. The driver says it’s for mobile phones, but the site from which I downloaded the drivers specifically said it was for the tablet.

  2. The issue that I have isn’t that my pc doesn’t recognize my tablet. It is that Step 6 never happens and when I return to the unzipped files, tar.md5 doesn’t exist. Where did things go wrong in this process with this tablet? Please help!

    • So I found the file and tried to complete the sequence as stated, even selecting the file in the unzip folder and right clicking on it to choose open with odin3 v3.07 and still I receive a failed 1 in the message window. There is something in your process that isn’t working correctly for the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 model. If there is something else to suggest or a different method of rooting my tablet. I would greatly appreciate it.

  3. This worked flawlessly, except it has made the tablet unstable. It frequently reboots when restarting as well as rebooting randomly during usage.

As a result, I opened the settings on SuperSU and clicked to permanently unroot the tablet, but it continues to reboot which is a big nuisance. Has anyone got any suggestions as to how to fix this mess?

  4. After rebooting the device into recovery mode Odin never see’s the device again. So stuff the files onto an sd card, and use load from ext sd.. Anyways, then I got an error “E:footer is wrong” & then “E:signature verification failed”, then it repeated. Finally it says install from sdcard complete. I need root to write to SD cards, wtf? These are here for a reason, not just read-only memory guys.. wtf samsung?? GTA San Andreas can’t install on my sh1^ either, without writing to sd-card, which is frustrating.
