  1. I’ve upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus to android 4.2.2 using this tutorial. It was very easy and everything worked well. Just follow the instructions in the specified order. I love the new android and how items are organized. My wireless signal got better and battery life seems a little improved. I made a backup through Kies but it wasn’t necessay because nothing was lost during upgrade. All my files, settings remained. Now I have experienced some problems with 3rd party apps and two official apps : Skype and Adobe Reader. When I tried to open them in the new android i got a message saying that the application stopped. I reinstalled them and seems the problem has gone away(you could try empty the cache instead of reinstall). In conclusion go for it ! :D. Thanks again Imran for this great tutorial !

  2. I am sorry for the late response, as I was out of my home for a week.. Yes you can flash the build from other regions, performance vice it works.. Yeah the apps you had were built-in from the carriers and those can also be uninstalled.
As for as rooting is concerned, yeah rooting does gives you some privileges like Custom ROM (like you can also taste the kitkat), can install apps which requires root access etc… If you do have other questions, feel free..
Hopefully I have answered all your questions…

  3. Hi..I have a small problem..after I press START in Odin..it says “Setup connection” and after a while it shows FAIL..”it cannot open [COM] port.”
Do you know what I should do ?
