Root Samsung Galaxy S4 Running Android 4.4.2 KitKat

It is pretty much stable and is almost bugs free, as all features are working perfect and hoping that it is the same case with your device. Definitely, Your next move would be and it should be to root your phone. There are many features you can gain by rooting your device, like it allows users to instantly enjoy full access to all sorts of restricted Android features and functions and additionally you’ll be able to use Apps that requires root access, there are various Apps available on Google Play Store, which can help you to customize, enhance and optimize your device performance. Follow the complete step-by-step root method on how you easily  gain root access on your Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505, which runs the Leaked Android 4.4.2 XXUFNA1 Firmware.

Root Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-i9505Guidelines and Requirements:

  • Rooting procedure is only for Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-i9505 and it will not work on any other variant so don’t try it or you’ll end up bricking your device.
  • Rooting Android phone always voids its manufacturer’s warranty.
  • USB drivers will be required to install on your PC. If Samsung Kies is installed then that is ok or else Download Here.
  • Before you go for the rooting process, check that you’ve good enough battery charge on your device.
  • Last but not the least, proceed at your own risk.

Procedure

Step 1: Hopefully you’ve downloaded both files Odin and the CF-Root Package from the above links. Unzip the files on your desktop.

Step 2: Double click on Odin3-v1.85 file to run it.

Step 3: Turn Off your Galaxy S4 to boot it into Download Mode by pressing and holding volume down+power+home at the same time, and then pressing volume up to continue.

Step 4: While in download mode connect your phone to PC via the USB cable. If everything went fine, Your device will be recognized, ID:COM port shall turn yellow or blue and Added!! will be shown in the message section. Otherwise try to change the USB port or reinstall the drivers.

Step 5: Finally, Hit the PDA button and browse the CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505.tar.md5 file from the extracted folder.

Step 6: After selecting the correct tar.md5 file hit the Start button to begin flashing the rooted kernel.

Step 7: Once it gets completed, You’ll be notified via the PASS!! message and Your phone will automatically reboots.

Step 8: That’s it folks! Your Galaxy S4 is now rooted on the latest XXUFNA1 Firmware.

Check that SuperSU has been installed or go to Google Play Store and installed from there. To make sure that Root is Functional, Install ‘Root Checker’ App from Play Store and launch it to verify root access.
