  1. Does it matter that I just updated OTA via Samsung to kitkat 4.4.2? Will I be able to root my 10.1 2014 now, or will I have to wait for another root version? Thanks

  2. Quick Question. I own a Mac for a laptop and yet it says that you have to use a Windows machine to do this? Is this true?

  3. Not working. I am doing erveything step by step..But when it is done it takes forever to say pass..BUT it always does…but superuser icon never appears. and root checker says i have no root. I literally have done this step by step but no superuser icon either

  4. I did this and it says PASS. When I check my apps. It doesn’t show the SuperSU or Superuser app. I also downloaded a Root Checker and it says ‘Terminal Rooted’. I then downloaded Busybox, but it’s telling me it cannot be installed. Help.

  5. Please note LTE version does not work with T-Mobile 4G LTE Samsunge Galaxy Tab 10.1 2014 Edition. That is Model “P607-T” if you use the above LTE “P605” you will send your tablet into a bootloop and have to restore to the latest firmware using Oden and loosing all data not backed up. I speak from experiance -_-‘

  6. Didn’t work for me. I kept hitting nand write – start fail auth / sys rev check fail – no version. Used Towelroot instead. 4.4.2 on SM-P605V

    • Did towelroot woork? In my SM-P605 (itlaian, no brand) I tried but it says device not supported…
The CFautoroot method explained in this guide instead sends the device in an horrible striped-screen boot loop… I think it is the same behaviour reported by antonello in this same comments queue…

      • Towelroot worked for me on Android 4.4.2 on SM-P605V (Verizon CDMA) – this was on July 24 – don’t know if towelroot has changed since then.

  8. Followed step-by-step but got stuck. Last line in Odin say ” All threads completed. (succeed 1 / failed 0)”. The TAB rebooted but froze in start-up screen with the following three coloured lines printed at the top left of screen:
    RECOVERY BOOTING….. (in blue text)
RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING (in red text)
Set Warranty Bit : recovery (in yellow text)
    What should I do???

    Recovery Booting…..

  11. Working, thank you very much! Hit some troubles in the middle, but nothing critical. Couple things to keep an eye on.
Make sure you’re running Odin as admin ( right click-> ‘run as administrator’ ) Otherwise, it’s getting stuck forewer right in the middle of process without error message.
Make sure you’re not connecting tablet via cheap usb hub, cause it will force it to USB 1.1 mode, which is SUPER slow.

  12. Finally, Happy Root Day to me. Today is one year that I have my Note, and have been waiting for the day I didn’t have to worry about warranty. This root tutorial was simply flawless. Followed step by step and it was quick and simple. Thanks for making it available.

  14. I’ve a Galaxy note 10.1 (2014) – SM-P600

I followed the steps exactly and Odin gave me a “pass”; however my device still comes up as “Root access is not properly installed don this device.” using Root Checker. Any ideas?

  15. Hello! I followed the instructions as described, got the blue looking indicator, received PASS from Odin and my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition (P600) rebooted on queue and comes back up just fine. However, “Root Checker” states, “Sorry!, Root access is not properly installed on this device” Device: SM-P600 // Android version: 4.4.2
So, what do I do now? Thanks for any assistance…

  16. I have tried this a few time exactly as instructed and i keep getting that root is not properly installed as well. I have android 4.4.2 sm-p600. I wipe and backup and do a factory reset of the tablet every time i retry this. still will not work. not sure what to do at this point.

    • I have exactly same model and 4.4.2 as well but haven’t tried rooting yet. I’m thinking that one of the recent updates to our model has broken this method. I don’t know. But if you do manage to root your note, could you post the method here? Much appreciated.
