Process goes through fine. But security on AT&T 4.3 SGH-I317 doesn’t allow root when it reboots. So you still don’t have root access and you cannot install twrp on this phone. Does any one have a solution to update Custom ROM 4.4.(2) ?

It should work if you’re running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
Is there way to unlock the Phone once this has been done?
Do you want sim-unlock?
Yes.
Yeah there are some sorts of free unlocking method but I am not sure how exactly they work. There are always chances of bricking your phone. Therefore I would suggest you to go for the paid unlock services.
Did not work. All process is fine. supersu not created. Rootchecker confirms root is not established.
Is it necessary to have a sim card?
