How to Update Galaxy S I9000 to Android 4.3 Using the MacKay Custom ROM

1. First of all copy the Android 4.3 Update and GApps zip packages to the internal storage of your phone.

2. Once files are completely transferred, Reboot your Galaxy S into Recovery Mode.

3. Nandroid Backup is really important, that is the first thing you should do using the recovery options. Save the Nandroid Backup to your external Micro SD Card.

4. Now Wipe data and Factory reset your Galaxy S, to make it prepare for new installation.

For CWM Recovery – Select Wipe data/Factory Reset then Wipe Cache Partition then select Advanced->Wipe Dalvik Cache.

6. Use the same method (Step 5) to flash the GApps zip package, which will install Google Apps.

7. After all the step are completed successfully, From the Recovery Options, Choose to Reboot your Galaxy S.

8. Once your device boots normally, Now you Galaxy S should be running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on your Galaxy S.
