How to print from your android phone or tablet

Thanks to Google cloud print service, now we can print directly from our android Smartphone or tablet. So we are presenting you the easiest way to print messages from your android device….

Google cloud print work with all printers. Using your android phone or tablet you can send documents to your printer from anywhere, but the procedure is quite tricky. To gain upper hand you can use “Cloud ready” printer. This is the printer which can connect to the web. And you need to be using Google chrome also. Don’t worry if you don’t have a WIFI enable printer, you can use USB printer too. You will need to have it connected to your PC or laptop.

Smartphone which comes up with android KitKat 4.4, already have Google cloud Print functionality. Just go to settings> system and watch if the printing option is available. If it is available go to the options and press “Cloud print” and switch it on.

Note: Each device has its own interface, so menu locations can be different as well.

If you don’t have it pre-installed go to Google play store and download free cloud print app and add a new printer from there.

After selecting add printer from the options menu, you will arrive at Google’s cloud print web page. The cloud print may be stuffy or confusing but the process is very simple. Follow the steps according to your specific printer, whether it is offline model or a “cloud ready” model.

Now go to the file you want to print on your android device and in the option menu, where you can normally rename, view details, delete items and etc, you should also have the option to print it.

For printing text messages, the smart option would be to install an app like SMS Backup and Restore. As the name suggests, this app create backups of your SMS messages to your phone, email or cloud service like Dropbox or Google drive. Just create backup of your file to a preferred destination and then navigate to where the files are stored. For example, backup your files to Gmail, then go to your Gmail account and select “print” option in the option menu to print them.

That’s all. Cloud print currently supports: pdf, jpg, jpeg, docx, ods, xls, xlsx, ppt, odp, txt, doc and xps.
