How to Root Moto G Using Superboot

Moto G the new flagship Android phone by Motorola. I am really impressed by its features and price and it is really an amazing smartphone with a 4.5-inch 720p display, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, and has a 5-megapixel camera on rear, upfront  a 1.2-megapixel camera and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 CPU and above all anyone with a small budget can afford it. I have got a good news for the users who already have owned Moto G, PaulOBrien, at modaco, has released an easiest way to Root it using the tool called superboot. If you’ve made up your mind on Rooting then follow the step by step instructions to do it safely and successfully.

Guidelines and Requirements:

1. Rooting your phone will definitely voids its warranty, so proceed at your own risk, we shall not be responsible.

2. Backup if you do have important data on your phone internal memory.

3. Next, Enable USB Debugging from Settings>Developers Options. If you do not find the options in settings then do the following:

– In the Settings tab, scroll down to About Phone or About Device.

– Find the Build Number and tap it for almost 7 times and it should be enabled.

5. Hopefully you’ve already installed the USB Drivers on your PC or Download the Motorola Device Manager.

How to Easily Get Root Access on Moto G Using the Superboot

1. First of download the Root exploit for Moto G, which Superboot from Here.

I assumed that you’ve already completed the followings:

– Unlocked Bootloader on Moto G.

– Install the USB Drivers

– Have Setup the Android SDK or ADB Fastboot Drivers on your PC.

3. Next, extract the downloaded file on your desktop. Here you’ll find a number of files for individuals operating systems, Like Windows, Linux and Mac.

4. Now Reboot your Moto G into Bootloader Mode:

– Turn Off your phone first.

– Now Hold Down the Volume Down+Power Buttons together for a few seconds and that’s it.

5. For Windows Users the process is really simple, Just run the superboot-windows, batch file on and follow the instructions on the screen.

6. Mac users follow these instructions:

– Open the Terminal Window to the directory containing the Root files.

Now Type the following:

chmod +x superboot-mac.sh
sudo ./superboot-mac.sh

7. Linux user? Follow these instrcutions:

– Open the Terminal Window to the directory containing the Root files.

Type the following commands:

chmod +x superboot-linux.sh
sudo ./superboot-linux.sh

8. That’s it, Now Reboot your phone and you should have successfully got Root Access.
